"TRUE" NAMED CD OF THE MONTH BY ECHOES (PUBLIC RADIO INTERNATIONAL) - September 3, 2007

September 1, 2007

Echoes, the daily two-hour music program hosted by John Diliberto
which airs nationally on 150 radio stations by Public Radio
International, has named Jeff Oster's "TRUE" its CD of the Month for
September, 2007. Oster's debut album, 2005's "Released," received the
same honor on its release, making the trumpet and flugelhorn player
one of the few musicians to place consecutive albums on the Echoes
list.

An artful blend of ambient grooves with Oster's warm, jazz-inflected
trumpet and flugelhorn playing, "TRUE" is the next step in a unique
trip that has turned a one-time limo driver, standup comic, bar-band
musician and financial planner into an unexpected force in the world
of instrumental music.

Produced by Windham Hill Records founder Will Ackerman, the album
features contributions from drummer Keith Carlock, bassists T-Bone
Wolk and Michael Manring, cellist Eugene Friesen, keyboardists Philip
Aaberg and Jan Pulsford, guitarist Patrick Gorman, and Ugandan
vocalist Samite.

"It might sound like hyperbole, but we may be witnessing the
emergence of the next instrumental superstar," wrote Bill Binkelman in
the New Age Reporter.

As the Echoes CD of the Month, "TRUE" will receive extensive airplay
on the show, and will be featured in a special two-hour program. In
addition to prominently featured on the syndicated program's website
and in its listener newsletter, the CD will also be sent to members of
"Echoes CD of the Month Club."

Echoes, which airs daily, features an eclectic mix of music ranging
from acoustic to electronic, from jazz to space music and from
avant-garde to rock.

Tune in to Echoes on September 3rd and 9th for the program featuring

1) Jeff Oster - Released(Retso Records)

Typically, flugelhorn and trumpet are not thought of as ambient instruments. Jeff Oster changes that perception with this cd. Produced by Will Ackerman of Windham Hill, it is smooth, yet precise, in it's sound. Subtly orchestrated with electronic dubs and loops, even vocal sounds, it soothes the listener with it's mellow, flowing rhythms. A great sound for those quiet moments of work or play.

2) Falling You - Touch (Fossil Dungeon Records)

3) Daniel Paul - Between Two Worlds (Soundings of the Planet)
